Reommend optimal SATA driver for OEM 630i / 7100 chipset

Hi, this problem was raised on another thread but I think it wasn’t concise and it got derailed.
So I would like to start a new thread with clear objective:

My Motherboard is stated as being Nforce 630i with Geforce 7100 . Original driver is at link below - its for Vista, my OS is XP, which is why driver so hard to find.

I cannot find the driver for sata controller anywhere.
The Device IDs is:

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_ 056C

It’s probable the inf. included in the Vista-only driverr provided by HP (OEM) needs to be re-written to work on XP. The self extracting .exe is here
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/sel…9/model/3929121

I would be eternally greatful if some can help on this.

Off topic 1: I have another board that is MCP61, when correctly installed, the device manager shows
nForce MCP61 Parallel SATA Controller and
nForce MCP61 Serial SATA Controller (if I remember right),
This was when I Installed the Fernando LEGACY Pack. When I try the non-AHCI pack, the branches don’t install as above.

Off topic 2: IT seems motherboard names (MCP73), the number in the device manager (056) and the chipset (630i) are never matching with nforce.

There are no NVIDIA nForce drivers available for this device.
It is the MCP73 P-ATA Controller. The only driver, which supports this Controller is the MS in-box IDE driver named PCIIDE.SYS.

Thanks for swift repsonse -

Is that statement also true for Windows 7?

I can upgrade the OS later for this one machine I suppose.

The HardwareIDs don’t depend on the OS, but just on the related device.

Gotcha, thanks for everything!
