Hi all,
I’m repairing a Lenovo ThinkBook 13s G2 ITL (Type 20V9, board Wistron LV550 13 MB 19869-2, i5-1135G7). The NVMe stopped being detected after a battery failure, and the original SPI content was lost: a technician overwrote it with a full image from a 14s G2 ITL, and the NVMe is still not detected (BIOS says “Hard Disk: Not Installed”; Linux shows no CPU PCIe root port, no MEI and no Thunderbolt functions). The SSD works fine in an enclosure.
I’d like a reference from a machine where the NVMe works normally:
-
Best: a full 32 MiB SPI dump of a working ThinkBook 13s G2 ITL (or 14s G2 ITL), e.g.
fptw64.exe -d full.binon Windows as Administrator, orsudo flashrom -p internal -r full.binfrom a Linux live USB. -
Minimum: just the Flash Descriptor (4 KB):
fptw64.exe -d fd.bin -descorsudo flashrom -p internal --ifd -i fd -r fd.bin. -
If neither is possible: BIOS version (e.g. F9CN62WW), PCB marking (19869-1 / 19869-2) and whether your NVMe is detected normally.
I will only use it for comparison (Descriptor/CSE/MFS/Setup variables), not to flash. I’ve already compared a few public dumps and tools (MEAnalyzer, FIT, UEFIExtract) and I’ll publish all my findings here, so the next person with the same problem can use them.
You can send it through any file host or by PM. Thanks a lot!
