[Request] Above 4G decoding for AsRock z97 Extreme 9 and Asus P8P67 evo

I added nvstraps FFS module to BIOS you prepared for @prazola (asrock extreme 9 16gb rbar version) because i have RTX 2080 TI. Will this two modifications work together? I wonder if there is way to mod this BIOS further to change eDRAM speed ( L4 cache) from default 1800 to 2000 MHZ (i7 5775c CPU) because this mobo does not support changing edram frequency. You mentioned leaked ami bios maybe there is way to find a way there?

Yes you can add NvStrapsRebar

I got GPU-side ReBAR Configured without PCI confirm (0x0300000000000082) message when using NvStrapsReBar.exe.
asus z97 extreme 9, MSI RTX 2080 ti DUKE

csm disabled
secure boot disabled
4g - setting not showing in bios you made for Prazola (I tried using GRUB method to enable it but im not able to check actual status)

Is it possible to get this fix for the Asrock Z97 Extreme 4?

I’m trying to fix the DSDT file, but when I try to compile it in .aml I find several errors and I’m having trouble fixing it. This is my BIOS file with the patches and the NvStrapsReBar driver.

Hello @maiconjs o/

I see Above 4G Decode in the Advanced > PCI Subsystem Settings section of the latest bios for your board.

Is the Advanced menu not available to you in setup?

Best regards,

It’s not available and I believe it has the same problem as the Z97 Extreme 9 motherboard. When enabled via AMIBCP and after flashing, the computer even starts with video, but I get a BSOD when booting Windows 10

Hi @maiconjs

An existing install or booting from the installation media?

Can you post screen snips of the errors?

Maybe someone here has experienced them.

I think I’ve solved the problem. I switched to an older version of iasl and managed to create a modified DSDT file (I removed things like BAT, DOCK, LID to create it). After that, I saved the file and Windows started normally, indicating that there is a problem with Asrock for the malfunction of the card with “Above 4G” enabled. Here is the file with NvStrapsReBar 0.3, the patches applied with UEFIPatch, Intel Microcode 22 for better overclocking stability applied with UBU, Above 4G Enabled and CSM Disabled by default with AMIBCP 4.55.0070. For those who wish, here is the file.

Hi @maiconjs

looks like you did it, I am straggling to fix my mob bios for Z87Ex4 for sometime now.

do you know of a youtube video explains how to use this tools ?

I got Nvidia Tesla K80 with 24G not detected on my MOB Z87Ex4.

Thanks

If you could have a look at it that will be great.

Z87 doesn’t have above 4g decoding options, unless if you ask asrock support to add the feature for your board and it acutally works.
