[Request] Acer Swift X14 (SFX14-42G-R607) Advanced Settings

Hey guys!

Picked up a cheap laptop (SFX14-42G-R607 - 5825U + 3050 Ti). BIOS is Insyde. Mainly looking for DRAM/IF settings to drop latency (stock is >120ns).

Someone in an archived thread on Notebook Review (here) showed it’s possible and they were able to almost halve the latency.

They had someone on BIOS-Mod do the modification for them, so I reached out to the same person. They sent a couple BIOSes but none worked, they’d just hang at black screen and then boot directly into the OS. Even booting into the OS and then rebooting to UEFI from within the OS did the same thing. After a few attempts they said they were too busy to help further.

Here’s the stock BIOS and the three attempts he made. Anyone able to help out?

Thanks!

It looks like you have a hardware programmer. Or some way to flash into the mod. Is it right?

Yeah, I’ve got a CH341A.

Unless I’m being a big dummy, the only issue is the BIOSes themselves. I can flash back and forth between the modified ones and my stock one just fine, the modified ones just don’t work.

Here you go, I believe this has the functionality you need.

awesome, it works! thanks man!

just curious: did you just modify my stock one or fix one of the other 3? just curious if there’s anything obvious that he messed up.

Raw BIOS is always best. But I did check out one of the three mods. They are wrong.
