I have a prebuilt with the following board ASRock b450m gaming, and from what I can tell its an OEM version of the ASRock b450m ac.
The OEM manufacturer as we all know doesnt keep up with BIOs updates, etc. So I was wondering if there was a way to flash the b450m ac bios overwriting the OEM version.
Here is the b450m gaming bios: http://www.cyberpowerinc.com/drivers…ming_v1.50.zip
and here is the b450m ac bios:
https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450Mac/#BIOS (seems like there are two a bios update and patch not sure which to link so I just linked the page)
Thanks in advance for any help

I tried UBU to disabled the security check on the bios but the motherboard doesnt detect the modified “stock” bios from ASROCK. It will only detect the original bios for the board. I even tried to remove the security from the stock bios but it still doesnt detect it.
I also ran reports on both bios’s from UEFITool and compared the two. They both come back similiar the v1.5 bios(original) mostly matches the 1.2 bios from ASRock.

Just an update more fiddling around. In case someone stumbles on this post with the same problem. This post helped greatly.
[Guide] How to flash a modded AMI UEFI BIOS
I had to use the Annex portion of the post. Essentially download the FlashTool Utilities.rar he has posted.
Follow his instructions on installation and backing up the BACKUP.ROM file. Then boot back into windows and grab a copy of the latest ASRock B450m a/c bios (as of writing it is 1.90).
I renamed this to MOD.ROM for ease of use. Dropped this file on the previously used USB.
Booted the USB and ran
flashrom -p internal -w MOD.ROM
wait for it to finish then reboot.
You should now have a ASROCK b450m a/c bios flashed ENJOY!
Sort of, I have the new bios installed and everything seems to be working. Missing a few options that were present in the bios supplied by Cyberpower. If I’ve done my research correctly I might just need to run UBU Tools to update the microcode using the MC Extractor.
I’ve run both BIOS’s through AMIBCP to see if I can spot any hidden items and everything to me look identical. I will post and update with my results from tinkering.
I’m completely new to all of this and the information on this forum is amazing.
EDIT:
I’ve updated all I could with UBU. I seem to be missing the Power Supply Idle Control, CPPC, CPPC Preferred Cores options.
These should be under AMD CSB. The only options I see are Global C-State control and another which I am failing to remember right now.
@Lost_N_BIOS
I still have not been able to unlock these options. I just cant figure it out. Using AMIBCP to compare the two BIOS’s they look identical.
CyberPower looks like they might have pushed out a new bios attaching it here in case there is something there.
Appreciate any help or instructions on how I can do this for future knowledge.
i am having this same issues i updated to the new bios but my psu fan isnt working and my gpu fans get loud then quiet, lmk when you find a solution.
