Hello! Can you please take a look if enabling ECC reg memory support is possible on Asrock X79 Extreme 4?
Because the Asrock X79 Extreme 6 does work with ECC-reg server memory, according to several online forums and the below cpu-z validation:

I have the EXACT same Samsung memory modules (with a Xeon E5-1650 v2 CPU), but unfortunately my Extreme 4 does not want to post with it… Could it be just a hidden factory limitation that is possible to remove? Here is the link to the Extreme 6 BIOS, if you can compare the two:

Any feedback is much appreciated! (If the mod is doable, then please include the nvme boot support as well.)
@Esposito : Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
Do you have 2 different mainboards with an X79 chipset (an ASRock and an ASUS one)? According to >this< post you have an ASUS P9X79 Pro mainboard.
Good luck with your BIOS modding request!

Hi Fernando, thanks for the response and the question. Yes, that is correct, I have both an ASUS P9X79 Pro and an ASROCK X79 Extreme 4 motherboard (and also a Chinese X79 lying around…) I am currently making tests for an ideal audio system, this is why I have more motherboards.
