Eugene did replied me in PM but this method doesn’t seems to work or i just don’t understand really on how to unlock it successfully.
By this method, i’m not really sure if i should write the RCSetup hex 43 D6 87 EC A4 EB B5 4B A1 E5 3F 3E 36 B2 0D A9 to AMITSE into blank hex after this pattern shown in the pdf or add it in the file (and make it bigger)
Even if i add it i don’t know where i could manage to access it from the main setup.
If you have other methods to manage to make it i’ll take it.
Hey @Sweet_Kitten,
I would love to try to see if I can get the IntelRCSetup on my Asus mainboard.
Also in my case I have the section installed into another Volume.
So for what I understand I “just” need to add the GUID to the "top layer"menu and it should show up. The original bios has already different sections stored in others volumes. (Event Viewer and Server Mgmt).
I’ve never modded a BIOS so I’m a bit lost on where I should put the GUID.
There are multiple sections where the IDs shows up.
Can you guide/provide me with some more precise infos?
Hello.
Is this a modding request or you want to mod the bios yourself? If second, I’ll just add you to the conversation with DokT as I’m kind of lazy to explain everything again.
Hello everyone. I have the same question about unlocking IntelRCSetup in my BIOS. I have an AsRock X99 OC Formula/3.1 motherboard, it has almost the same BIOS as Taichi. I tried to follow your actions, in particular, I looked at the doc.pdf file and did not quite understand how this should work, I added Form 0x1 to AMITSE at offset 00005CC5 and then I am at a loss as to what to do next so that “IntelRCsetup” appears in my “setup”. I tried to track data.json, I understand how this should work, but I do not understand how to add iRCs. Please help, I am desperate, I have been trying to deal with this problem for 3 days in a row
I am attaching a clean dump taken from the programmer. If you help with the modification, can you explain what exactly you are doing step by step? This is very interesting. In your attached doc.pdf file, I don’t quite understand what needs to be done next after we add 0x1 from plafrorm to AMITSE, what else needs to be done to make ircs appear in setup? Thanks! formula.zip (6.9 MB)
Not only 0x1 needs to be added, but also bytes highlighted red. Nothing else besides this. I think the pdf is well comprehensive, so I don’t plan to post more info.
Thanks for the help. I shortened 0x1, in fact I added bytes, it would be stupid not to add the rest of the bytes except 0x1 The problem arose in that after adding bytes by offset I did not understand what to do next, because the menu after adding to AMITSE did not appear. That’s why I decided to write here. I thought that the information in the doc is not enough or I am doing something wrong
