Sometime back my laptop ran into an issue due to liquid metal spillage, I lost two vRAMs and had to get the GPU bypassed by some technition, what they did worked eventually but I noticed something strange after a few days, the thermals were not good, laptop was heating up like never before and after checking the details I realized the BIOS which they flashed is a slightly different one,
My laptop has an AMD GPU and the model is GA402RJ but the BIOS they flashed was for GA402RK, since then my Fans are not getting triggered properly as per the fan curves.
I some how retrieved the details to validate this claim and I am 100% sure the MB hasn’t changed it’s just the BIOS, may be they flashed with CH341 programmer otherwise I believe Asus has a protection mechanism.
What I was hoping I could achieve now?
I read in some forum that people flash different BIOS by replacing the header which contains the version information, I could be wrong(please let me know).
If anyone here can help me do this I’d really appreciate, I have both the BIOS files downloaded from Asus’s support portal
