Hi i have an Asus Vivobook 14 X412DA
since its an old laptop with not getting anymore updates from the Asus itself
i was wondering if theres a way to unlock the bios for the performance part
so i could use it for a bit longer for day to day and light gaming
im very new to this bios part so please tell me what i need to give / do
AMD platform with not much to squeeze from it.
You can check it with UEFI Editor…
The main issue, as this is AMD and not Intel, is the mod flash, it needs access to bios SPI IC with a programmer for flashing anything, mod bios files usually can be flashed by standard methods as AMI/ASUS security prevents it.
Overall, since you have no experience with this i’ll advise to stay put and dont break the motherboard, resulting in non-bootable laptop.
Nothing more to add, good luck.
i wouldnt mind trying it out at all since im already planning to buy a new laptop if itll ever get bricked by doing these
