Thank you all so much for the quick update. I just ordered a couple BIOS chips incase this fails but I’m excited to be able to use my 4 drive NVMe card as more than an overly expensive 1 drive card for my Unraid server

Last time i checked… dont remember witch post… on X79 BF/NVMe mods, cards with all 4 m.2 populated doesn’t work as intended… i can be wrong, better check well what u pretend and look for info in it.

@Lost_N_BIOS I see this thread has grown some legs. Looking for the latest working version from recent posts or the 11/2020 microcode file from post #83 if you have it still… Looks like all the links in this thread are broken.

Finally got bifurcation working. Hardware:
- x79 Deluxe
- 2x WD Black 1TB
- Asus Hyper x16

For inquiring minds - that’s with the Hyper x16 in the last x16 slot (PCIEX16_4) w/ the drives in slot 1 and 4. In the BIOS you need to set ICH3 to bifur x8x8

When I set my SATA mode to RAID, I get the updated RST page in the BIOS, but it says “No disks found”… Am I missing something in the PCI setup maybe?

Is it possible to achieve this at the first slot (PCIEX16_1)?

NEVER MIND! Set IOU2 x8x8 and the drive appeared in disk management. Yet in BIOS, only one of the drives is in the boot options and some sort of "PATA"(x2) options appeared.

Is that a piece of code in Intel ME? Somewhere else?

@Xenophobian @Deluxe like to know if you guys can help me out with this some info im looking for… i have the x79 deluxe gold looking board but seen the ASUS HYPER M.2 X4 MINI CARD. like to know if it can be run in raid mode and wat i have to do for it… would be easy for me to talk over discord if thats able to be done
