I am wondering if it’s possible to flash a bios from another machine that has the same internals/chipset. If anyone knows of a bios I can try that’s the same rom size let me know. I believe last time I checked with American Megatrends utility I found it had a 4mb rom chip. If you need info like WiFi chipset or anything related let me know I also have a bios dump of the original haven’t tried upgrading or messing around with it yet.
Both rom files are the same just two dumps.

If not can I upload the bios dump so someone can mod it and unlock all the hidden options or add an option to disable intel speed step turbo and allow possible overclocking or at least fine tuning like allow the processor to run at its max freq at all times.
Cross flashing other machine bios is high risk, better dump and analyse available options to unlock if possible.
Its always advisable to have a CH341a spi programmer and check access to the spi on the motherboard.
EDIT: If its an AMI bios core, on the dump use AMIBCP and/or IFRextract/HEX editor to edit/mod string variables/unlock.
TPM most likely not possible and dont count on it, at least at bios level, not knowing if any header available on the motherboard but when looking inside the dump ull get a look if available TPM items are present.
Plenty of info around in the forum on methods and tools in different mods… search, read and learn, theres no easy course for newcomers and needs time and lots of reading. Good luck.
Stop posting every where the same subject.
I went ahead and updated the forum with the bios dump I only did two forums because one was a request and the other related this one to a bios from a similar machine.
Thank you
for informing me if you have any ideas to modding this dump let me know!!
Edit1: Also I would like to have an option to turn on TPM 2.0 which this pc does but no option to enable. I tried tpm.msc and it says it’s available In windows but no option to enable.
Edit2: Also how to edit the variables I’m very new to modding the only real modding I have done was flash a custom bios on another computer which was a haswell system to unlock many options.
Edit3: I would think it possibly has the hardware which windows does indeed detect it as having. Also good guide/beginners to exploring bios dump information and modules/headers used in the rom. It’s a 4mb chip so I don’t know if many similar machines exist I only have seen 8mb and 16 on a few other systems when updating the bios. I will let you know when I learn this at some point I’m the future or next few days. I hope someone else In the mean time knows more info on this win raid forum. I can send a screen shot of the components/chipset being used in this machine.
I will keep you update when possible if I find anything new do you need any chipset info or from the bios. I can send or update this forum with a screenshot.
No i dont need nothing because i will not do such mod, its ur task to research ( for a similar bios as u intend) and read/learn (for editing ur bios and take the chance), its an unusual machine and u r the one that have to take the risks.
EDIT: No problem, still u can keep ur advances and shared info, users will try to help u. And share a dump of the SPI fro users can verify it.
TPM can present and disable until TPM HW module is plugged.
Well thanks for at least looking into this. This isn’t my main pc so I’m okay if I need to reflash it with a programmer.
Edit1: Alright new findings found a leaked copy of AMIBCP and found this about tpm. Look in the images so far.
Edit2: Definitely found tpm module in AMIBCP
Edit3: Found option for tpm state which is disabled
Edit4: Well I tried to enable well ops I guess it can’t tpm because it won’t post now so I need a programmer oh well
Why did u do that… ask before. After u shared ur dump i see support for TPM 1.x and 2.x, but this will only be available upon an hardware TPM module plugged.
The bios also has fTPM but that is only for AMD. Messing with ur TPM settings will NOT have effect at all.
After all…ur inicial request was not related to TPM. Well enjoy urself and get experienced with it, we all learn from mistakes, since this is not ur main machine and more like a toy for u.
Yes thank god it’s not my main.
Edit: After screwing around with it I managed to get it running again mostly. It a bit unstable now though.
