@karfel @Sweet_Kitten The setup settings appeared, but when I click on it nothing happens (if it should happen.)
Something different should have happened. Try rieidi.zip. Let me know if the bios is still works after flashing and if Setup Settings item is now interactive.String package shift broke the setup.
This one introduces unlock via _EFI_IFR_REF3. Which I’m doing the first time for AMI.

Black screen when 'entering bios, but enters windows 11.
gg, bricked. At least Windows worked, before I ended up probably giving an error in the bootloader… (I changed the boot order for Windows to boot from the pendrive and I rewrote the bios) And I also messed with the Windows bootloader so maybe it wasn’t bricked and instead it’s giving an error because the bootloader is wrong. (Theory)
Yeah, have to admit I’m out of ideas. I can’t add the Adv menu without changing the size of setup module. I could make another and last try where I shrink some part of setup table for the sake of the one I grow.
Could you try my mod too ? It was made base on you attached region.bin from region.zip. I made it at 20250303 but i saw there many forum users to help you out so i don’t reply here. Now it seems that there is a small trouble. So ,i attch my mod let you test.
You’re right ,on this model here suppressed the second advanced tab and chipset tab. The easiest way is set them to 00 such as b81227 to b80000. If on ida pro environment , you can jump it to invalid address(jump 00) then suppress will invalid. This is rog bios amitse structure + special supress way.
@genius239
So in reality this subroutine has something to do with suppression?
brhun, I need the rewriter to put original bios first.
Why won’t you rewrite from windows?
.because it stopped starting as soon as I tried to change the boot order or put a temporary boot. Now I’m trying to remove this temporary boot, to see if it comes back or if I’ll use the Windows Hirens boot. I don’t even know if it will open anymore…
I will list everything I tried to do to recover
And I think the last serious thing is to try to format the disk with a live operating system, and see if it does anything, but I doubt it, since I click F2 and nothing happens (before it did)
I see, now it’s bricked completely.
@Sweet_Kitten @genius239 I’m going to buy this EPROM probably on Wednesday or Thursday and I think it will take 5 days to arrive. (I managed to place the orders today 3/10)
I don’t want to hijack this thread but after reading it I may have lost hope in unlocking my asus zenbook that has (at least by your screenshots) the exact same menu, 5 tabs with the exact same distribution and order and suboptions. Even the test with the Advanced menu unlocked in the advanced tab was exactly like my attempt, when clicking on it nothing happens, and visually it was also the same with the back arrow. I did the usual but just like you can’t enable the advanced menu and chipset that are hidden. The specs of this vivobook and my zenbook are very similar too so it makes sense they are using an almost visually identical bios. Anyway if there’s something I can help with testing I’m game because I think if we find a way to make it work in one it will work in the other.
What is your model?
Asus Zenbook ux390uak, intel i7500u, I think it’s a generation older than yours, but the design of the bios menu is exactly the same.
It really does look identical… But I don’t know if it will work, so have an eprom.
