A large amount of Matebook X’s were sold out of the factory with a BIOS password, making it impossible to log into the BIOS or update it using normal methods (Secure Bios error). Furthermore, no bios updates were ever released for the laptop, making a comparison between the stock and currently install bios impossible
I have dumped and attached a copy of my dumped bios. However, I am unable to find where the password is inside the bios image (if its even there and not in EFT), Nor do I know how to modify the bios directly to disable the password. I can manually flash/dump the firmware via an SPI tool.
