[Request] Dell G43T-DM1 unlock & Xeon support

Exact same request as this guy https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troublesho…-dm1-v-a00 but nobody helped him (wrong forum obviously!)

Its potentially a great board as a the Realtek GB LAN is W98 compatible, the USB should work with NUSB in W98 and add a PCIE CMI8738 or PCI Soundblaster and you have a great little retro PC

Would be even better if the BIOS unlocks any OC (even just FSB adjustments) and if it was updated for Xeon microcodes… Then it would be perfect…

I’ve done Xeon microcodes before (forget how) but never touched unlocking hidden options like FSB adjustments

I’ve included the original 1.00 BIOS but also the Dell BIOS update 1.08 (but I cannot find the BIOS inside the EXE)

What would be great would be:

  1. Unlock hidden options (like FSB adjustments even if voltages can’t be touched)

  2. Xeon support for 771 Xeons

  3. Ditch the Dell logo.. for an ECS one or better still something custom?

Thanks for anyone who can help me

Thanks, I had already read those and found nothing that teaches me how to unlock hidden options. That;s the thing I most need help with. I’m sure I can google & wayback machine the Xeon files and find some guide somewhere for the OEM logo…

Its the UNLOCK HIDDEN OPTIONS I need

For unlocking in old AMI8 Core bios you may try AMIBCP 3.xx…

Thanks.. explains why AmiBCP 4.xx and 5.xx didnt open the file…

EDIT Found 3.13 and 3.37

Unfortunately no hidden options for FSB or anything really…

Q: Is there any way to bring some options in?

Q: Cross flashing another G43 motherboard BIOS? The Asrock G43 Twins has very similar chips etc

Expected… these are OEM integrations system boards without an “external” Clock Generator.

  • No
  • Same chipset/chips but not same design or OEM, you want to play with it…go ahead.
