Hello dears!
A few years ago I managed to insert the string NvmExpressDxe_4 in my BIOS F5F following a tutorial here on the site and it was very useful for me to get this MOD done.
But the need arose to use more storage on SSD and I ended up buying a 4x NVME M.2 card on aliexpress thinking i would work more than one SSD, and I’ve been trying for several months to follow another tutorial here on Bifurcation and I confess that it’s very difficult for me due to the hidden information that my BIOS has and the little knowledge. Honestly I’m exhausted
Are any enlightened people able to help me on this mission? Thanks for listening!
Wow men! thanks for the quick reply!!!
My BIOS is already with NvmExpressDxe 4. Is there a problem?

From my understanding your buying a 4x nvme adapter which i guess its a 4 slotted one in 1 card, correct? and you want to do x4x4x4x4 bifurication?
Yea! in the first slot x16
Hey, friend!
success!!!
some details:
1 - my first X16 slot counted as the layout of the board is the IOU2 and in this I enabled the bifurcation, but as in photo 1, it only appeared one SSD connected but as if it were in the last connection of the NVME card.
So I had the idea to invert the two SSD’s M.2 to the end of the card, the two were recognized as shown in photo 2;
2 - I noticed that reading and writing was a little impaired. This is normal? or we have how to adjust! (See the crystaldisk photos)
But we have evolved a lot! thanks for the great help!
So out of 4 ssd, only the last ssd that showed up? is it normal now? Did you edit it via AMIBCP or via amisetupwriter using shell.efi? From what i’ve read that this method does work, but x4 split into 4 lanes individually have some trouble to detect the other 2 x4 lanes, so it could be the problem, best this forum could detail, is do a x4x4 or x8x4x4 or x4x4x8.
Yes this is normal due to the nature of read and write. it will not always be 1:1 ratio, but as long as it’s low latency and have a great performance, nothing to bother about
anw, tried the aorus one XD?
I use amisetupwriter but i only have two ssd cards now. I can switch to another type of fork if that’s a problem. I understand that I should leave it that way because of the nvme card that has 4 entries.
i used my board’s bios but i can install aorus to see. on aorus has any improvement?
wow! I’m happy because with this mod I’ll be with my setup for a while longer. No money around here to invest in something new. haha ha
Is it possible to use a thunderbolt card on this card?
Edit by Fernando: Formatting corrected
changed the logo and the name on mainboard, nothing changed from the stock bios you sent. you should check that out XD
