So on my x99-ud4p board I don’t have this option present in the gui or hidden. I have confirmed it’s not there in amibcp and scewin. However it shows in setup via hex editor. I have bios files from a couple other gigabyte x99 boards that are very similar that do show the option but I had my doubts I could just replace the setup module with uefi tool. Looking for a little guidance.
Edit by Fernando: Thread moved into the „BIOS Modding Requests“ Category and title customized
So I think I want to create a new nvram variable using scewin. I am a little unsure how to go about this though. Having a hard time following the documentation for it anyways. from the IFR data I have on the board that does have the option it is as follows
EqIdVal QuestionId: 0x302, Value: 0x1 { 12 06 02 03 01 00 }
0x1D150: OneOf Prompt: “Above 4G Decoding”, Help: “Enables or Disables 64bit capable Devices to be Decoded in Above 4G Address Space (Only if System Supports 64 bit PCI Decoding).”, QuestionFlags: 0x10, QuestionId: 0x25D, VarStoreId: 0x1, VarOffset: 0x489, Flags: 0x10, Size: 8, Min: 0x0, Max: 0x1, Step: 0x0 { 05 91 7F 08 80 08 5D 02 01 00 89 04 10 10 00 01 00 }
0x1D161: OneOfOption Option: “Disabled” Value: 0, Default { 09 07 04 00 10 00 00 }
0x1D168: OneOfOption Option: “Enabled” Value: 1 { 09 07 03 00 00 00 01 }
The guid is and is the same on both boards. VarStore Guid: EC87D643-EBA4-4BB5-A1E5-3F3E36B20DA9, VarStoreId: 0x1,

@becca I have gotten support from them tho? but for UD3P, not UD4P:
Dear Becca
The GA-X99-Gaming 5 is EOL. No further feature updates are planned unless a critical security issue needs to be addressed. Additionally, we do not provide customized BIOS services.
If there is anything we can assist you further with the issue or any feedback, feel free to contact us again along with the product serial number. Cases without updates in 7 days will be closed until further information is received.
Regards,
GIGABYTE
”Additionally, we do not provide customized BIOS services”.???
Hey — love that you posted the screenshot, genuinely helped me reopen my ticket. But I gotta ask — you blurred the drive link and haven’t shared the file. You posted proof it exists, which is great, but now everyone who finds this thread is stuck in the same spot you were before Gigabyte sent it to you.
The board is 10 years old and EOL. Gigabyte isn’t going to sue anyone over a BIOS for a dead product. What’s the reason for holding it back?
Gotta test it before posting, because this was freshly made (by looking up the bios date in the DMI data), to make sure it is okay to use as-is…
Also the eSupport that responded to me never replied to me by my username, which is wierd? Did you have made sure that when you made it up, you’ve entered the location at taiwan? Also, is the bios request for UD4P or not? Since the forum was made for UD4P…
Interested to see if this goes anywhere.
I still have and am using the board. I’ve fallen out of bios modding since my OG post and decided to actually start using my computers lol. But if we get a known working bios that provides this…I’ll use it.
This old board still packs a punch.
No need to test it on my end, I can do that myself. Could you share the file as-is, exactly as Gigabyte sent it? Clean and unaltered would be perfect — the F24f please and thank you. I only need to diff it against mine to see what they changed. Both boards share the X99 platform and Intel RC firmware so it’s directly useful. A lot of people need this and you say you have it — not sharing it seems off. Also regarding the username thing, here’s Gigabyte responding directly to my account name, so that part isn’t weird at all.
Im making sure if it’s okay to use, since i haven’t got the time to test it, here you go:
- Original Bios from eSupport: X99UD3P.F24f.zip (6.6 MB)
- Modded Bios for ReBarDxe: X99UD3P_Complete.rar (6.6 MB)
thank you bro if i get anywhere ill send it back
@frankr2994 @becca eSupport has sent me the bios for both of your board, could you guys please test these thoroughly (for your respective motherboard):

To activate rebar, you can read this post. And if rebar is succesful, could you guys take a screenshot similiar to this:
Here are the original bios:
- X99UD4P.F23f.zip (6.7 MB)
- X99Gaming5.F23f.zip (6.7 MB)
I usually suggest to downgrade 1 version below before updating to the modded bios, but it’s up to you guys. Please tell me if the modded bios (if you use it) is running perfectly just as-is stock unmodded bios in any scenario :).
I will test it when I get free time .. I uhh bricked the board a few days ago lol and i cant find my chip programmer to bring it back but i got you give me a few days or so
@becca if you have the time, and a set of tweezers, maybe you can try the short pin 1 and 6 method (pin 1 is the one with etched dot on the corner, not the painted dot):
hold the position, power on, and wait till it power off itself, after it power off, release the short and power on as usual, who knows the backup bios might kicks in.
Anyways, if you’re planning to use a programmer, just don’t forget to dump it. If you need it, i can try to see if the dump have any mainboard specific id’s and transplant it on the bios i shared, making it ready to flash as-is.
yeah i tried that already .. iit does the reset but it wont flash a new bios into the chip .. im going to have to get my programmer or de solder the chip
This particular board of mine is not bricked lol. I have some actual work I need to do this weekend on the machine. I’ll test it as soon as I’m able. Greatly appreciate this though. This looks awesome!
@frankr2994 @becca i’ve reuploaded the bios, i’ve take a look and i did a bit mistake in the bios, now it is all good.
