Current BIOS version?
My version - FB05
You can try this download.
It has an option of unlock. It was made for FB05 version patterns.
I’m planning to update it with latest BIOS version unlock patterns if the new SREP tool is not coming soon.
Thank you very much, I saw this post, I was afraid to try it, I’ll check it now.
I’m sorry I misled you unintentionally. I confused this download with the one above it.
It doesn’t have an option to unlock.
Gotta fix this today or next day. Stay tuned.
For today’s update I removed unlock functionality from the following script for G5 KC laptop.
And most exciting is the G5 series’ unlock script upload!
Gigabyte G5 (RTX 30 Series & Intel 11th Gen & Intel 12th Gen & 2023)_MOD.zip
It’s completed now.
Supported models:
‘https://www.aorus.com/laptops/G5--Intel-11th-Gen/Support’
‘https://www.aorus.com/laptops/G5--Intel-12th-Gen/Support’
‘G5 (2023)|AORUS - GIGABYTE Global’
Thanks, I tried but the bios is still blocked. In my opinion, I got an error, but then the firmware went, but it didn’t work, on my G5 KD.
Errors are ok as the script targets at several possible models it can be ran on.
Please, share a BIOS file with me so I could check what I miss. The script should create the BIOSREG binary file on its every launch.
Here is the generated file -
I’m not allowed to view it. The file is not publicly accessible.
Try this link -
I’ll let you know if I manage to figure it out.
It also gives a good excuse to add 2023 models to the list of supported.
Thank you, I hope I can lower the temperature of this infernal furnace if it becomes possible to unlock it
The reason turned out to be very simple. When I was collecting patterns, I missclicked and downloaded one of the previous BIOS versions, older than FB05.
I corrected this and added more patch patterns as well. Now there are total of 18 supported sub-models!
Now it gives an error - “FAIL!!! Incompatible device.”
And immediately closes the console
I seem to have forgotten to enclose the action in parentheses that is after the condition. So the compatibility check always failed. I removed this check. You can re-download and try again.
I wonder when will it start working.
Unfortunately same problem as above
It must be some problem with FPT status handling. There’s nothing else routes to error message really.
I simplified the batch file a bit, for another time.
You may re-download.
Thank you very much for your time! Looks like I failed again. I ran the bat file, everything went well without errors, but the bios remained blocked. Also only 4 menu items in my bios.
What are they? Main, Boot, Security and Exit?
You don’t have access to Advanced by default?
