Hi all,
I’m using an old X99 motherboard from Gigabyte (X99 Phoenix SLI). It’s does support NVMe natively - however the bifurcation is not.
Since my CPU (i7 6950X) has 40 lanes - I’ve tried to read the instruction guide from some popular topic (e.g. [Guide] - How to Bifurcate a PCI-E slot and [HowTo] Get full NVMe support for all Systems with an AMI UEFI BIOS) - but with my limited skills in application modding, I can not make a customized BIOS for my motherboard.
Thus it’s appreciated if @Lost_N_BIOS or @davidm71 or anyone can help me modify the latest BIOS to support PCI-E bifurcation.
BIOS link - version F6d: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/B…nix-sli_f6d.zip
The PCI-E slot of this motherboard has configured as below:
- 1st slot: x16 (PCIEX16_1) => can be modded to support 4x4x4x4
- 2nd slot: x16 (PCIEX16_2) => can be modded to support 4x4x4x4
- 3rd slot: x8 (PCIEX8_1) - shared with the 1st slot (when 3rd slot was populated - the 1st slot turn to x8) => can be modded to support 4x4
- 4th slot: x8 (PCIEX8_2) - shared with the 2nd slot (when 4th slot was populated - the 2nd slot turn to x8)=> can be modded to support 4x4
Hope that you can help me set Bifurcation option for all of four slots.
Thank you so much.
