I’m trying to customize the splash screen on an AMI BIOS and replace the default “American Megatrends” logo with my own image. Here’s what I have:
- Access to the physical BIOS chip.
- The
.bin
file of the BIOS, which I read using a TNM5000 programmer. - The
.rom
file of the BIOS.
So far, I’ve tried using tools like ChangeLogo_v5 and afuwinx64.exe to extract and replace the splash screen, but I haven’t been able to get any results.
I’d appreciate it if someone could guide me on the tools and steps required to:
1- Extract and replace the splash screen image in the BIOS file.
2- Flash the modified BIOS back to the chip.
I understand the risks of bricking the BIOS and am proceeding cautiously. Any recommendations for tools, tutorials, or alternative methods to safely achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
Here’s the extracted logo:
splashscreen.rar (3.6 KB)
Bios files:
BIOSfiles.rar (7.3 MB)
Thanks in advance!
