Good night friends.
I have an HP 240 G6
Motherboard: DA0P1BMB6D0 REV D
Bios InsydeH20 Rev. 5.0 - F.49 Rev.A
Original Bios: ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp112501-113000/sp112753.exe
And with it comes a horrible Realtek WiFi card RTL8723BE and I just bought an Intel AX200, but the Intel AX200 doesn’t let my Notebook start, nor does it start in the bios.
When I turn on the Notebook with Intel, a screen goes all black and doesn’t come out of there anymore and when I start with a Realtek it starts up well and from what I’ve been reading HP has some locks for certain hardware and I would like to know your opinion if it is true this and what I could do.
Yes, you are right. HP blocks hardware that are not in the list inside the BIOS. I can give you this list of cards if you just would like to purchase a compatible one.
If you are hoping for a bios modification, then I think it will be more expensive in term of time and effort.
