[REQUEST] HP Elitebook 820 G2 NVME boot support

Hi, I´m new here, I want to make from m.2 NVME SSD drive bootable, I am still on Win7. Should I first change to Win10 or Win8 before request modding?

Not necessary but indeed a modern OS has better compatibility and up to date drivers for NVMe performance.
Windows 7 ISO has not support for NVMe systems, it needs 2 additional packages from MS.
I recommend a clean OS installation and a modern OS.

EDIT: A legacy OS system drive (CSM/MBR/NTFS) will not be able to boot. NVMe requires UEFI/GPT.

OK, I will then install these packagese, thank you.
I appreciate a lot if somebody here could help me!

therefore I need a modded bios, right? The Elitebook 820 G2 doesnt support NVME booting with standard BIOS, so far I’ve understood.

I thought u already done… as this was not ur initial topic.
Not done yet, then search the forum similar models and NVMe mod, OEM branded machines like HP r not always easy to mod or even harder, to flash, due to bis security issues and access.
