Hello. Im trying to make WIN7 work on this ASUS E502N laptop that has N4200 processor with HD 505 graphics. As I understand intel made this chip with the idea of WIN10 and up. Is there a way to mod this driver to work with WIN7? Currently Windows posts but the screen is stuck on starting windows, but everything works behind the scenes. I can input commands to cmd using SHIFT F10, but cant get the screen past Starting Windows.
I have tried couple of drivers that semi should work with my processor graphics but they still dont get past starting windows

Welcome to the Win-Raid Forum!
It would be a good idea to post the HardwareIDs of the graphics card.
Good luck!
Hello. Thanks for the reply and sorry I completely forgot.

Try the 21.20.16.5077 from 28.06.2019
Hello. Thanks for the reply. unfortunately this driver did not work. I am attaching setupapi.dev.log here, but tl;dr its the same error (0xe0000228 “No compatible drivers for this device”) on 3 hardware ids:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5A84 (Graphics)
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5A8C (?) ACPI\INT3452 (GPIO)
OS is working behind the starting windows, because I was able to blindly copy this log with cmd.

No, you don’t need to mod it because there’s a only one version compatible officially for Windows 7 x64 and Windows 7 x86. This is the only version that works on Windows 7 x64 apollo lake on your HD 505, it is an old version from 2016, 21.20.16.4505. This version worked for me, and I got aero glass with this version and hardware acceleration, download it: Intel HD & Iris Graphics Drivers Version 21.20.16.4505 WHQL And for Windows 7 x86 you will need to download the version 21.20.16.4508. And for the DPTF on apollo lake on Windows 7, I didn’t tested it, but you can test the version 8.2.10900.330 of DPTF, I don’t if this version could work on Windows 7 without errors, test that version. It don’t appears listed for Windows 7 x64 that version because that version was signed only for Windows 10, and the drivers pages they show only signed drivers for Windows 7 x64, but it could work on Windows 7 because the .inf of that version has “NTamd64.6.1” (esif_manager.inf) and “NTamd64” (dptf_cpu.inf).
