Hello everyone, I have an ASRock X570 PRO4 motherboard, which has been upgraded to the latest BIOS version 5.67
[Beta] It works fairly well, but since my graphics card is quite old, it’s a GTX 2080Ti from GIGABYTE. Since it’s an old 20-series graphics card, I can’t enable the resizable Bar feature. There are experts online who teach how to flash NvStrapsReBar.ffs to enable the resizable Bar feature for 20-series graphics cards. I was wondering if anyone has enabled this feature before and could share the method!
The job I did, when opening the 5.67 BIOS file with the latest version of UEFITOOLS, it reported an error! I took the risk to write into the BIOS chip using a CH341 programmer and soldered it back to the motherboard, but it caused my motherboard to become unbootable with a black screen and a stuck CPU DRAM red light!!
INTEL is relatively easier to deal with. I have opened the resizable Bar on motherboards such as ASUS ROG Z390-Gaming and MSI B760-M. After adding the NvStrapsReBar.ffs plugin to the BIOS file and flashing it with a programmer, both motherboards can enable the resizable Bar function and support my old 2080TI graphics card! However, I encountered a major problem with the ASrock X570 PRO4 ,
What BIOS modification tool should I use to modify the BIOS of the ASRock X570 PRO4, so that flashing it won’t cause the motherboard to report write protection?
Please help! I am Chinese and my English is not good. I am typing in Chinese and using Baidu Translate to post this. If there are any inaccuracies in the translation, please point them out!
