[Request] Mod Razer Blade 17 2019 (need help)

Hi Everyone,

I’m a new user to the site and bios modding in general. Last week I got a razer blade 2019 and I noticed that I couldn’t underclock modding the bios. I tried throttlestop, but that requires me to disable virtualization and I kinda need it.

So, I tried myself a couple days ago and got pretty far but in the end I failed, I had already downloaded a lot of different programs from different places so I decided to hard wipe my drive. I’m willing to start over myself or if someone could do it for me. I ran into a couple issues though, one is that the rz09-0287 has no bios file to extract from the razer site and trying to find it online I would have to pay I guess, and two is that some of the guides I followed from were a while back which I don’t think it matters that much, but I’m not sure if there’s an up to date ish method.

Anyway, If I could get some help on the next steps to do as I’m fully starting over from scratch I would appreciate it. Currently the laptop bios version is 1.02 and mcu fw 1.00.02.00, it’s an rz09-02877e92 with an intel i7-9750h and an rtx 2070 max q. If there’s anymore information I could provide please let me know.

Thank you.

Dump the system fw with an SPI programmer.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll order one right now since I was using software the first time. I’m guessing I just get a CH341A, do you have any recommendations for one or would basically anyone from ebay work just as well?

That’s how users lose their ability to recover the system firmware when flashing mods and no backup done…it’s a common mistake assuming a mod will work straight forward and have nothing to worry or care for an asset…

CH341 are the cheaper ones…for future and multiple flash a better one is recommended, plenty out there on the web.
That’s all from me, good luck.

Thank you very much
