Hi, how did you manage to fix it? I’m trying to find a driver for my Radeon 8180 for Windows XP, Found this file and installed, but it gives me a bluescreen after the reboot.

Hello there!

I have an old Asus 11" laptop with an AMD A4 1200 and 2GB of RAM. As the thing is completely useless with modern day applications, I wanted to install Windows XP on it so I could play some older games on it. After installing, I found out that the AMD website has no drivers for the integrated GPU for Windows XP.

The last Catalyst driver for Windows XP (14.4) supports the Radeon HD 8240 (PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9838), that is aparently very similar to my GPU (PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9839).

I also found a driver in archive.org that lists my GPU (DEV_9839) as a supported device, but when I install it, it crashes to a blue screen indicating an error related to ati2dvag

Is there any possible way to get it working? The IGP on this processor is based on the GCN2.0 architecture, and most GPUs of this arch are supported on Windows XP.
