[Request] MSI GX640 AMI BIOS mod for UEFI boot

Hello,

I have just got the old MSI GX640 which has AMI BIOS option unlocked to enable SATA hot plug and port multiplier to support SATA SSD in AHCI mode. I also found that it has option for UEFI boot.

However, the Windows installation always freeze at Windows screen with spinning circle (Normal legacy boot fines). I know that this BIOS is very old implementation of UEFI on HM55 5 series chipset but asking for chance if it is possible to mod this BIOS to enable successful UEFI boot? Thanks.

Edit: I have tried with Windows 7/8.1/10 setup (using USB thumb drive). All results in freezing at Windows screen (Spinning circle freeze). Booting with legacy mode with the same thumb drive can go to Windows setup normally.

Dont you find it kind of strange… 3 OS…even the supported Win 7…from MSI.
Maybe the culprit is elsewhere…
Bios settings, USB boot OS drive not propelly done… something like that…

EDIT: I know what variables are in AMIBCP opened bios… my anwser was based on official MSI bios and not a mod from it.
I dont have such laptop model so i dont know what options are MSI default bios visible to user and the “YES” visibilty in AMIBCP doesnt validate nothing.

I may have missed somethings. However, the BIOS boot options are very limited. No CSM option. Try many combination but no luck.

The PCI rom priority option is also broken if EFI compatible rom is selected while the graphic card has GOP in the VBIOS. No POST. Need to change back to legacy rom.
