[REQUEST] MSI Prestige 14 unbrick

Hello,

I think my MSI is bricked after a bad update. The symptoms are classic: keyboard backlight and fan but nothing on the image.
So I dumped my bios. I downloaded the latest update corresponding to the model and saw that it was enough for this model to inject it directly. However, I tell myself that he will miss the PC information as well as the Windows key, right?
Could someone please help me create a correct file or at least guide me? Thanks a lot

EDIT : I’m not sure about the chipset… I find a WINDBOND 25Q80DVSIG near the LCD FPC… I try to dump it too but i only have a 1MB file.

File deleted? And 25Q80DV can’t be ‘bios’

Yes i see for the 25Q80. So my dump seems to be from the good chipset.

Board specific information is in 0x490000 to 0x4A0000

I’d try a stock bios with these 0x10000 transfered to it.

(The second AmiNvram… doesn’t exist in stock bios)

Extract this padding with UEFIToolNE, note start address and end address, open a stock bios in Hxd, replace the corresponding block with the extracted padding.

Post file for a check…

Ok. I will try it. I try without this transfert and the laptop reboot all the time. I hope that will fix it but not sure.

If you tried a stock bios without copying the machine specific block and it didn’t work properly then it won’t change with the block transferred- presumed that you did flash properly.
