Hi everyone
I recently bought an MSI laptop (A2XWIG), So far I love it a lot but I’d like to maximize stability and performance overall
Current specs:
RTX 5080 16gb (undervolted)
32GB DDR5 (upgraded from 16gb)
Intel 275HX (undervolted)
Ghost Spectre 11 25H2
Personally, my temps sit at ~62C for the CPU, and 66C GPU Core, and 72 for the GPU VRAM
So I want to start by disabling “Spectrum Spread”. From what I understood it fluctuates the clock of the CPU slightly to reduce electromagnetic interference, but it also causes unstable stutters and fluctuating input lag.
If anyone knows some of the other recommended settings to enable/disable as well, I’d be very happy to learn.
Also I’m curious about liquid metal as thermal paste, so far I know that if i add just the right amount and not too much it shouldn’t leak anywhere at all, but regardless I had a thought about using thermal pads (1mm or 0.5mm in height) as a sealant in case of too many vibrations or a drop, where it gets out of the heat sink maybe. Would this work?

-I have a ch341a and ch347 in case of a terrible brick.
-I do not have a backup yet!!!
-I cannot whatsoever find a compatible FPTw tool for my ME version (19.0.5.1948) to flash/backup my bios.
Links for anyone who is curious or want to also maximize stability, I can vouch that these links definitely helped:
Undervolt with stable results - More stability, lower temps and no thermal throttle
TCP Optimizer - Saw decent results in less latency overall
MSI Utility v3 - Tweak CPU interrupts, reduce input latency by a lot
Throttlestop - CPU tweaking util (Note, I undervolted my CPU via bios because I need VT-D/Virtualization)
ISLC - Heard good things about it, unsure if its doing something or not. Will check soon.
Process Lasso - limit to CPU Cores, change priority etc. Personally I limit background/small programs to 6E cores, and the main window/game to the rest of the cores with high priority, and its been working fine so far.
Tip, in bios advanced menu, press Copilot key+Shift+LALT+F2 to unhide the cool settings (SPD Write disable, FPT registers, overclock/undervolt/cfg lock etc)
