Hi
I was planning on moving from windows 7 to windows 10 ltsb 2016, but the only problem is I cannot use my NVIDIA card (since they "only" support 1703+)
Is there any way to get the driver to work? Every time I tried to install it it either was the most pointless thing in the world (Code 28) or my gpu being stupid (code 43).
Help would be appreciated.
My device ID is: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1F06&SUBSYS_652019DA
@meltinglce2 Having just acquired a 2070 I was looking into this and you can only use a Turing ‘Super’ card on Windows 10 1709 (without ray tracing) and later, the first driver supporting the ‘Super’ cards is 431.36.
Searching Microsoft Update Catalog for ‘PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1F06’ confirms this.
A non-Super Turing card can only go back as far as 416.81 (or 411.63 for the 2080/ 2080 Ti) which is still limited to Windows 10 1709 (without ray tracing) and later so there’s no point to try and modify the driver.
This image taken from the 412.16 Quadro driver page Nvidia website also states that you need the 410 driver branch or higher and at least Windows 10 1803 (RS4) for ray tracing;
