Hello!
Is it possible to add PCI-E mode switch (2.0/3.0 or gen1/gen2) to P8Z77 WS bios?
I know that P8Z77-V PRO has this option. Can it be ported to WS?
Thanks!
@alex59 - Here you go, do not rename the file, flash using USB BIOS Flashback Option was already there, only hidden from view

Advanced >> System Agent Config >> NB PCIE Config - if you cannot see this section by default let me know, I assumed you could and only enabled the setting not the section itself.
If it’s not visible to you I can redo, let me know if you can see Advanced/System Agent or not, and then if you can see Advanced/System Agent/NB PCIE config by default or not.
If not then I will need to redo since I assumed Advanced >> System Agent Config >> NB PCIE Config was visible to you already only missing the settings you needed.
If Advanced >> System Agent Config >> NB PCIE Config was not already visible to you, then this file will change nothing, so don’t expect to see the settings I will have to redo once you let me know.
@Lost_N_BIOS thank you for so quick reply!
Unfortunately I didn’t see this option after I flashed your bios. I can confirm that I see “Advanced >> System Agent Config”, but no option “NB PCIE Config”.
And can you please also add PCIE NVME SSD boot option if possible?
Thanks!
@alex59 - thanks, and sorry about that, I didn’t want to “Double Enable” any already visible section, so I didn’t enable the subsection itself in case it was already enabled for you.
Here is new BIOS, please test and see if you can then see that section and options inside, if let me know I will use other method instead (Sorry, BIOS mod is an art not a science sometimes ).
Please be sure you delete old file from your USB, so files don’t get confusing, since you can’t rename the file.
Settings will be inside >> Advanced >> System Agent Config >> NB PCIE Config

NVME is another mod, not a BIOS setting, and you’ll need to follow this guide to install onto system onto a NVME Drive.
I did the NVME Mod to the above BIOS, so you only need to follow step #6 in full
[Guide] How to get full NVMe support for all Systems with an AMI UEFI BIOS
Great @alex59 thanks for reporting back after testing. So they do work correct, if you set PCIE Speed 1, 2, or 3 max speed possible changes in windows right?
I did notice one of the slots could only run two speeds, that may be by chipset/CPU design, I’m not sure, I think it was the last slot.
Now, time to reinstall and setup your NVME!
@Lost_N_BIOS Thank you so much! I recently bought the Samsung 970 evo ssd and nvme2pcie adapter, then installed windows 10 on it just fine!
All works perfect!
