[Request] PCIe 4.0 Support for ASUS Prime B450M-A II

I have a Prime B450M-A II and a 5600x. I was hoping to use pcie 4.0 with a 5600 xt, and potentially a pcie 4.0 ssd. I saw this thread where this was achieved on a different asus motherboard.

I’m wondering if this could be done here to, or if not, what the reasons for that are.

The reasons are old news… there were some initial bios releases with PCIe 4.0 support on past Ryzen series, revoked then by AMD and OEMs in the following bios/AGESA versions.
There’s several articles on the web about this… we can now say its forgotten already.

Alright, in the post I linked it sounds like they added ryzen 5000 support from newer bioses back into such a beta pcie 4.0 bios. Did such a beta bios exist for my board too?? Is such a backport possible here as well?

I don’t think it was BETA versions, were initial oficial releases.
Don’t know if your model got those initial releases with PCIe 4.0.
I cant recall such backport as successful report.
