Hello everyone,
I’m repairing a Dell XPS 13 Plus 9320 (motherboard LA-L071P). This laptop has two identical SPI flash chips: Winbond 25Q80DVIG (1MB each), one next to JSPIRT1, the other next to JSPIRT2.
I accidentally removed the chip at JSPIRT1
. The laptop boots and runs fine from the chip at JSPIRT2
, but at every restart it triggers BIOS recovery mode, and some features don’t work correctly (e.g., TPM is missing, HDMI not detected properly).
I would like to restore a proper binary dump for the chip at JSPIRT1. I suspect this chip may contain:
- EC (Embedded Controller) firmware,
- Intel ME region,
- or a BIOS backup/recovery block.
If anyone owns the same laptop and can read their 25Q80DVIG
from JSPIRT1.
Thanks for your attention and your help in advance.
