Hi all,
I have been having a hell of a time trying to mod the bios of a Supermicro X9SRA so that I can see the hidden CPU control menus. I recently upgraded my PC to use a E5-1680 v3 which has an unlocked multiplier. The issue is that in the BIOS there is not option available to change this setting. I have read of some people unlocking it but the threads are so old that all the download links are dead. I see a lot of information regarding enabling NVME but not much on how to show the hidden menus other than a few posts of people saying they did it on various forums.
Any help would be greatly appreciated because I have been trying to mod it myself for 3 hours but cannot seem to find the information I need to fix it. The latest bios version is 116 and the chipset is C602
Hi! Sorry this reply is so late, but I have a very similar setup to you (1680v2 with X9SRA). I modified my BIOS to show these hidden menus, as well as add NVMe support. This allowed me to run all cores at 3.7ghz. Note that although you can set the multiplier as high as you wish, the power limit settings do not seem to work, and once the cpu reaches the TDP limit it will throttle. If anyone has any advice on how to break that limitation, let me know! I’ve attached my BIOS here.
