@Saeed_Haidar - I Can’t see where to download anything from there, but anyway, I linked you to the official download authors site above. Yes, probably edited, or entirely different program, not sure, I can’t download from there.
Upload to here >> uploadfiles.io
@odo - You’re welcome, and thank you too!
@Lost_N_BIOS
I have flashed your file and rebooted then back-up biosreg and flashed that also rebooted all ok.
here is file and thanks again
Newbiosreg.rar (5.89 MB)
@zmay2509 - You’re welcome! Here is your unlocked BIOS, program in via >> FPTw.exe -bios -f newbiosregm.bin
https://ufile.io/lmlrwk80
*** WARNING - To ANYONE with laptop and unlocked BIOS!!!
DO NOT try to enable this graphics card or disable that card, switch cards etc. Otherwise you will end up with no display output (ie black screen) and no way to recover except by blind flash or with flash programmer.
You can change graphics related settings, like changing memory sizes, or core speeds etc, just don’t try to disable one card or change which is main etc.
Additionally, be very careful when trying to undervolt CPU, you can leave BIOS unbootable due to CPU voltage too low (Sometimes even 0.05 is too much)
WARNING *** - This BIOS is user specific! If you are not user zmay2509 at Win-RAID.com forum, DO NOT USE THIS BIOS!!
If you do, and you are not zmay2509, then you will loose your serial, UUID, OG NVRAM, and possibly LAN MAC ID as well.
You have been warned!!!
@Lost_N_BIOS
Hi, after flashing back your file I can boot into pc but not into bios.
I have flashed my original bios backup (non modified) and updated to 1.11 version and its going normaly in bios.
Can you try again please maybe file was corrupted.
vars.rar (32 KB)
@zmay2509 - That is unexpected! Flash back in the mod vars, and then reboot and dump new BIOS region again, then send to me (make sure it’s new BIOS region after varsm flash in)
Or, just flash back in the mod vars I sent you, then reboot and wait, I already have your BIOS region dump after varsm flash in, so I can use that and make new edit for you.
Sorry, wait a minute, your mention of updating BIOS versions is the issue here! Were you on 1.11 before too, or not? If not and you are now, then give me your 1.11 vars dump, or is that what is above?
I assumed you were, that’s the problem I bet!
* Edit @zmay2509 - Above vars has already been unlocked, so you can dump BIOS region with FPT and write BIOS region with FPT now, correct?
Please test and confirm, use new BIOS region name, and then send me the new bios region dump once success
@Lost_N_BIOS - Yes I can dump and flash BIOS with FPT, and I can go into BIOS.
I was on 1.11 before but updated from unlocked 1.08.
Here is new back up
thanks for support
111biosreg.rar (5.89 MB)
@zmay2509 - I edited your previous BIOS with info for 1.11, so if you were on 1.11 at that time, then it should have been fine
https://ufile.io/kying1i7
You’re welcome! Hopefully this time no issues!
BTW if you got 1.08 only PMC intel firmware has been updated iam still with 1.08 with PMC update done to new one …
Hello
So I got a new WiFi card DW1820a for my laptop WiFi is working without any problem but BLT it does not get detection at all not even as unknown device under Windows I could not get it to work with MacOS this has BLT 4.1 my old card was intel AX200 160mhz do you thing this has something to do with the bios like WiFi whitelisted or something like that
@Saeed_Haidar - if it was blocked due to whitelist then system would not pass POST, so I assume either faulty device (test in something else to confirm), or incompatible for some reason.
okay i will try that
I tried it on hp ProBook laptop Bluetooth worked I tried the card that was on hp ProBook on my laptop Bluetooth worked fine
The card on hp ProBook was intel card too
i will try this and see hope it work https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/121…aptops-interop/
Edit* it did not worked
i thing there is something with hardware FML
This is my first post so please forgive me for being newbish. i have a acer helios 300 PH315-52 that id like to remove the power limit on , tried everything that i could on throttlestop with no luck. I know there is an advance bios setting on this laptop as i saw a couple posts on it already. What is needed to do this? would i have to purchase a SPI-programmer & SOIC8 clip?
@Gabe324 - I’ve merged your post with the main unlock topic for this model, please see post #388 and do what’s mentioned there so we can get started to unlock your BIOS
[Help] Unlock advanced menu on 2019 Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52 (26)
Lost_N_Bios,
I’m interested in getting some of my BIOS unlocked, I’m interested primarily in the CPU Virtualization features, this things got 32GB of RAM and it’s useless as a VM platform
I’d take every bit unlocked as I can get though!
I’ve followed the instructions in post #388 and run said tool, here’s my vars.txt zipped up - but if 100% necessary I’m completely capable of using a programmer, I’d just greatly prefer not to.
I’m currently on bios version 1.10 and 1.11 is currently out as well, how (if at all) does this affect BIOS upgrades? I’m going to go out on a limb and guess if I were to unlock 1.10 then flash 1.11, the unlocks are reverted?
vars.zip (36.3 KB)
@Kirby207 - Programmer not needed, thanks for following along
Here is your edited vars, program back in using the command below, then do the stuff in spoiler again using biosregnew.bin for name, and if success at step #2, send me the biosregnew.bin file and I will unlock for you
Wait, yes, if you want to update BIOS to 1.11, do that now and then redo all this (ie make new vars dump and send to me, be sure to delete all previous vars.txt first)
If you do not have Intel ME drivers installed, install them now from your system driver download page, then start over here after reboot.
Check your BIOS’ main page and see if ME FW version is shown. If not then > DOWNLOAD HWINFO64 HERE <
Once HWINFO is open, look at the large window on the left side, expand motherboard, and find the ME area.
Inside that section is the ME Firmware version. Take note of the version. (ie. write it down or get a screenshot)
Once you have that, go to the thread linked below, and in the section “C.2” find and download the matching ME System Tools Package for your system.
(ie if ME FW version = 10.x get V10 package, if 9.0-9.1 get V9.1 package, if 9.5 or above get V9.5 package etc)
> DOWNLOAD " ME System Tools " packages HERE <
Once downloaded, inside you will find Flash Programming Tool folder, and then inside that a Windows or Win/Win32 folder (NOT x64).
Highlight that Win/Win32 folder, then hold shift and press right click. Choose “open command window here” (Not power shell! >> * See Registry file below *).
If you get an error, reply to this post with a screenshot of it, OR write down the EXACT command entered and the EXACT error given.
((If “open command window here” does not appear, look for the “Simple Registry Edit” below…))
Now you should be at the command prompt.
You are going to BACKUP the factory un-modified firmware, so type the following command:
Command: " FPTw.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin "
>> Attach the saved "biosreg.bin ", placed into a compressed ZIP/RAR file, to your next post!!! <<
Right after you do that, try to write back the BIOS Region dump and see if you get any error(s).
Command: " FPTw.exe -bios -f biosreg.bin "
^^ This step is important! Don’t forget! ^^
If you get an error, reply to this post with a screenshot of it, OR write down the EXACT command entered and the EXACT error given.
Here is a SIMPLE REGISTRY EDIT that adds “Open command window here as Administrator” to the right click menu, instead of Power Shell
Double-click downloaded file to install. Reboot after install may be required
> CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD CMD PROMPT REGISTRY ENTRY <
If the windows method above does NOT work for you…
Then you may have to copy all contents from the Flash Programming Tool \ DOS folder to the root of a Bootable USB disk and do the dump from DOS
( DOS command: " FPT.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin " )
Hey guys I wanna ask about BIOS 1.11. On the Community acer forum some people says they have problem after flash to new BIOS 1.11 with AHCI. They see only RST and not see AHCI MODE :/. I using as secod boot linux and Linux have problem with RTS boot.
My question is … Its true or not?
Because I dont wanna break warranty now and I wanna know more about this update 1.11. And my last qustion when you repaste notebook. DO you you se thermal padd 0.5mm, 0.7 or 1mm ? And thermal past which is better for better thempature
Thank you for answer
@zmay2509 @saltinbank @odo @Talon @coolgeevee - Can you answer above question, at least about AHCI/RAID thing? Thanks
@VeganCezchs - Even if this is true, I can unlock BIOS menu for you and in Advanced section you’d have proper choice between RAID or AHCI anyway, and if AHCI was hidden I could reveal it for you.
I doubt this is true though, or everyone in last several pages of this thread would have complained they could not boot windows after update to 1.11 due to RAID being set and OS installed at AHCI initially.
Probably someone mentioning that is confused, or needs to clear their CMOS, or their BIOS is messed up somehow
@VeganCezchs @Lost_N_BIOS - “SATA Mode” option under “Main” tab lists “AHCI, RST with Optane, RST Premium with Optane”. This is with the v1.11 BIOS update. Hope that helps.
As far as thermal pad thickness, I haven’t gone through the process of repasting my CPU. I use ThrottleStop to undervolt and lower my Turbo Ratio Limits. Keeps the temperatures somewhat respectable under load.
