If we do not need SPI programming then how do we get the bios dumps? Sorry I tried to follow the link you gave but could not find anything.

I just want to have my BIOS modded so I can get rid of these power throttling and thermal throttling. I just need some assistance with dumping the bios, as it didn’t want to dump with FPT.

I have an Acer Helios 300 PH315-53 with intel i7-10750H and RTX2070. My bios version is 1.09 but during SSD upgrade I found out that the stock ram speed is 3200MHz. I would like to unlock this bios in order to select the XMP profile for the ram memory to support 3200MHz, not only 2933MHz. I would prefer to use FPT tool if possible to back-up the flash, modify and flash it back because I don’t have that spi programmer. If necessary and if it does not work with FPT, it would be great to have right information regarding the required type of programmer and clip.
This laptop came with Samsung M471A1K43DB1-CWE memory modules (16GB) but I could not manage to see the real frequency of those Samsung ram modules in Bios, Memtest+, Windows 10, Cpu-z. All of these programs are recognising the memory at 2933MHz. The idea is that some persons managed somehow to unlock the bios in order to recognise the real speed of the memory. If we can manage to do it, I will proceed to upgrade it with 32GB Hyperx Impact at 3200MHz.

Could please explain me to edit VARS to bypass the SPI FLASH REGISTRER LOCK because of course SPI ranges are locked and no luck with grub shell (error out of range) as usual i wanna say :X

we have done the tricks via HOuve if i remember well to unlock SPI ranges …
Maybe you got the vars file or send me to a topic i can do it myself mate …

Yep i have read all the threads to by pass SPI try tha plutomaniac and your Lost and cant find the SYSTEM locks while editing the full dump of the bios with UEFITOOL and IRFEextractor …
I have tried CoffeeTime to try to unlock the SPI but no way when i save the rom the software says me that it is corrupted …
Try to use your Bios mod in IRFE and it says that bios is also corrupted cant do a comparison analysis of stock one and the modded one …

25Watts lost no more thermal nor power throttling = 25C temps lowered …
