Hey,
I am looking to enable PCIe BiFurication on my Gigabyte B450 Aurous Elite, can any one help?
At first i believed this wasn’t possible with a Ryzen G processor but this Amazon review suggests otherwise, i have no BIOS option to enable it but believe it’s indeed possible on my APU (5500GT)
EDIT: I am looking for 4x4x4x4 but anything more than 16x will be awesome! , I have a quad M.2 card i used in a old system which i can currently not make use of due to this limitation.
Infact the whole AMD PBS menu is missing, i’ve done research but i can’t find a definitive answer on whether this can or can’t support PCI-e Bifurication
EDIT 2: Here is a table showing compatibility from ASUS
Since this shows it’s possible, unless i am missing something this should be a purely software limitation? the top slot is according to the gigabyte manual 16x
I would be willing to make a donation if required, if it works, thank you.
EDIT 3: I have come across this post, [SOLVED] B450 Aorus Elite & Nitro+ RX580 1024x768 EFI resolution - #5 by aGeoM , i will attempt this later today.
Edit by Fernando: Thread title shortened and corrected
EDIT 4: I finished work, and attempted to enable PBS, after trying many tools, flashtool ended up working and i can see PBS options including this option, unfortunately it doesn’t work. still only 1 NVME drive shows on my PCIE to 4x NVME card.
Interestingly it occurs to me i have a newer bios (F65f) than what is available on their website
seems Gigabyte removed it for some reason, Wayback machines shows it was there on Jan 31st
As this file is no longer available here is a mirror of it mb_bios_b450-aorus-elite_8a16bg08_f65f.zip - Google Drive
TL;DR I would appreciate any further assistance on getting PCIe Bifurcation working, new to bios modding but I consider myself very tech savvy in other tech areas
