i have search hi and low for modified bios for my laptop. I have been trying for weeks to mod it myself but i just cant seem to get it.

I have already run the commands :FPTw.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin and then FPTw.exe -bios -f biosreg.bin. the dumped bios backup flashed with no errors.

Or if someone could point me in the right direction. After I dunno my bios I try to open it with mmtool but I always get and error that removes the option to modify the setup menus.
@ecyor.lionheart - Dell is a pain sometimes, especially when it comes to menu modifications. What do your BIOS look like? Show me an image example
Great you were able to dump BIOS region and flash it back without issues, that makes flashing in mod BIOS much easier on you

@ecyor.lionheart - Here, Intel section may be blank, I can’t remember if we fixed or not in this version of the edit. If it’s there, and empty, and you want it removed, let me know.

*** WARNING - To ANYONE with laptop and unlocked BIOS!!!
DO NOT try to enable this graphics card or disable that card, switch cards etc. Otherwise you will end up with no display output (ie black screen) and no way to recover except by blind flash or with flash programmer.
You can change graphics related settings, like changing memory sizes, or core speeds etc, just don’t try to disable one card or change which is main etc.
Additionally, be very careful when trying to undervolt CPU, you can leave BIOS unbootable due to CPU voltage too low (Sometimes even 0.05 is too much)
WARNING *** - This BIOS is user specific! If you are not user ecyor.lionheart at Win-RAID.com forum, DO NOT USE THIS BIOS!!
If you do, and you are not ecyor.lionheart, then you will loose your serial, UUID, OG NVRAM, and possibly LAN MAC ID as well.
You have been warned!!!

@ecyor.lionheart - You’re welcome! It’s OK, I had to google to find it, our search here only found this thread when searching N5050, but I knew I had unlocked this already for a member here, so our search = broken!
Sorry, I was not sure if we ended up removing Intel or not, I could not tell in that thread if we ever got back to it, or maybe worked things out in PM, and my work folder for this BIOS seemed like maybe menu was fixed (ie Intel), but I guess that was other issue we fixed before final BIOS

It’s not same/as easy as this menu unlock, have to try to do all settings one by one - we’d start with one and stop there if we couldn’t get after few attempts

This was done with UEFITool and hex editor. Extract “Setup PE32” and then compare before/after mod, you will see the changes (This is magic string edit, see below for links to examples where I explained)
The CPU microcodes were also updated in previous edit I did, but I forgot to do them for your BIOS. Do you want those updated in a new mod BIOS, or are you OK with those as they are now?

lol, dont beat yourself up. my plan is try to do it my self again using your mod as a kind of blueprint. believe me, i dont mind asking for help when i have to, you actually did me a huge favor and proved to me that it could be done. ill post my progress for everyone, if there is any lol

Hi can i get the unlocked bios of N5050 A05 the links to that are broken now , maybe tinyupload is down, i have a serial flash programmer that ill use to flash it i’ve also tried a few times to mod it according to the instructions you’ve given in related articles (thankyou so much for all , it has helped me a lot to learn abt this stuff), i did set some to USER and some to Supervisor to see which would work bt the bios even after flash externally with a programmer doesnt seem to show me the hidden menus and uefi mode, please if you could help me with the bios of this model mentioned above .Thanks

No sir i do understand english , i meant to ask the original user who posted this bios for the file and if its possible that he has it, because from the conversation above it seems that Lost_N_BIOS Guru (Retired) has already worked on it and was successful at getting the hidden menus and uefi boot, so if you can repost the file here as he did before that’ll be really helpful to me
