Hello guys i just got a Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED 11th Gen.
Im Using it as a desktop replacement , and so far im loving it. But the throttling is getting to my nerves.
I tried to find a detailed guide on how to Unlock my bios but to no avail. Since im newbie on this i would much appreciate any kind of help.

Just got Aero 15 kd, very few options available in bios.
Downloaded latest bios, uefitools, amibcp, have bootable ru.efi flash-drive.
And i see no similar screens and options as on screenshots from this forum.
Is there any step-by-step guide?

Hi firend, use this tool and get a result file to make the bios mod, run it as Admin and upload the file here :

Hi friend, your result file is empty , so to make it you have to disable secure boot into bios and then run the tool as Admin … please make it again and
upload here … or use this tool and run the Dump.bat program by double click on it , then upload the regbios.bin file you will get into the same folder :

I found cfg lock address is 0x43 and fprr 0x683, under PchSetup.
They set to 0, but flash tool reports locked bios.
Although previously i was able to flash update with afuwin.
Dump was made after that update.

Sorry, my bad, wrong variable name, correct set is
Bios Lock 0x1C
FPRR 0x683
Successfully flashed and got unlocked menus.

Hi.

I also have an AERO 15 KD with BIOS Lock at 0x1C and FPRR at 0x683. I was wondering could you please mod my BIOS for me so it will be unlocked, and send me a link to the patched BIOS? FPRR was already 00. BIOS Lock was 01 so I changed the BIOS Lock to 00 with RU, ran your backup utility, got a successful file, and then uploaded the file to you. My stock BIOS version is FB05. I put my information about me and my laptop into the description when I uploaded the file. Thanks!

I’m new to the forums so I can’t respond to PMs yet it looks like nor post links until I post a few times.

I used your BACKUP_Tools20h file to create the results file. At the end of the run, I uploaded the results file to the sendspace account that opened the webpage at the end. Maybe I did that incorrectly? If you’re looking for the file, it has my username as part of the filename. If I did the upload incorrectly, let me know a link where I can upload and I will try again. Thanks so much for your time and helpfulness with all of this!

. = point

Just use letters to sustitute the dot and post here the link … :wink:

Hello, does anyone have a simple guide on how to do this unlock from the very beginning. I have an aero oled kd with fb07. I’ve seen gods for MSI but seem to get lost.

Hello, came across this forum while searching for a way to troubleshoot a thunderbolt issue on my Aero 15KD 11th gen. (it seems to be disabled, as i dont have video output via usb-C port).

Not really sure about all the steps previously mentioned. first of all i guess a custom mod needs to be done, based on my actual bios firmware. i am on FB08 now.

In the meantime, any tutorial about flashing custom bios into it? thanks!

hello is this for aero 15KD and its look so old this is FB02 and now we are in FB08
