Hi i’m having the following problem with this Lenovo Yoga C940 which turns on and totally black screen checked all voltages are fine, I tried to manually update the original dump in Hxd bin but before doing anything stupid, I thought it was wise to ask for help , to avoid cutting and pasting in the wrong offsets. Also if you can guide me a bit what are the correct steps would be more than grateful so I could do it the next time. I know there are many videos showing but they’re not quite clear.
1) Would like if possible clean me region.
2) Update the original dump with the .Cap I extracted from the original lenovo exe file I used innoextract.
I’m attaching both files in the following link
============== BIOS DUMPS LINK ===============
- Original machine dump
- .CAP I extracted using innoextract from lenovo exe
Thanks so much for all the help !
What did happen to that machine? Settings change- firmware update trial ???
Clean ME according to [Guide] Clean Dumped Intel Engine (CS)ME/(CS)TXE Regions with Data Initialization
"Extract body" from 6C60EE00-C316-4C95-A684-CDC7E7033311 in update file, take FD and cleaned ME from original dump, replace bios region with bios region extracted from update file, check structure in UEFIToolNE, flash it, try if machine boots.
Machine was working fine then suddenly black screen, checked all voltages are comign along always, and there’s some movement on CS line on bios. Video is coming along the external usb-c port, not on the internal screen (screen was removed and lines on the edp connector checked also). I tried doing manually the insertion of the update from lenovo .cap file , extracting from ueficapsule and I get a bigger chunk. that’s why I’m asking for help, to avoid doing stupid things. Can you try doing the mod inserting the update , .cap file , and some cleanme ? thanks in advance.
