[RESOLVED] Lenovo 330S-15ARR Clean bios file or not?

Hello,

I currently have a Lenovo 330S-15ARR laptop that remains with a black screen at startup.
After checking the RAM / HDD etc, I don’t see anything in particular.
So I did a dump of the bios and tried to open the file with the Fit tools but I systematically get an error.
Since the PC is under AMD, I suppose that’s where it comes from but I’m absolutely not sure of my words knowing that I still can’t understand, to my great despair, how the tools work to manage dumps, clean, create “clean” dumps in case of a problem etc.

I tried, I’m still trying but I think I’m too “stupid” for that.

In short, could someone tell me if this file is correct please? It’s the direct dump of the bios.

Thank you very much in advance.

PS: If you have any explanations on a tutorial or other for beginners; I’m interested.

Thanks again!

You’re missing somthing:

Left stock firmware Right your dump

NVRAM should begin where cursor is anf it’s not supposed to have ‘holes’:

Try:

Hello,
I’ll try your file. I’ll check differences between my file and your to understand. Thank you very much.

EDIT : Your file work like a charm ! Thank you. I have to understand how you find the offset of NVRAM and what you replace for do a working bios file.

Thank you very much !

@lfb6 Hello.

Can you tell me if i understand the process please ?
I have another laptop with black screen on start. I dump it and check with the original firmware from Asus ROG Strix G15 (G512LV).
If i’m right, i have to check the dump file with hex editor at the offset “0043c0dch” and see if it have data other than FF , right ?
So, in this case, the file is clean and bios isn’t the cause of the black screen ?

Thank you very much.
