Currently I have WD Hard drives (4) in a Raid 10 configuration…
So I really don’t know about SSD’s at all…
I want plenty of room…and I really like Raid…
So can SSD’s be in a Raid or what is the best configuration for them??
Thanks for any input and suggestions…
Yes, there is no difference between SATA HDDs and SATA SSDs regarding the ability to be members of a RAID array and the creation of such array.
A good and very performant option is to combine 2 or 3 smaller sized SSDs to a RAID0 array and to install the OS onto it. Then you can use your already existing RAID10 array for other data.
Another option is to use an NVMe SSD as system drive. It will be even better performant than a RAID0 array of 2 SATA SSDs.
