I have a Supermicro X11SSZ-TLN4F motherboard. That i had tried to update the bios on. And it ended up failing. And i have trouble getting it to post again. I have a CH341A programmer that i used in the past. But i don’t know how to convert the supermicro bios so i can use it for the programmer. And this model of board doesn’t have an option to update the bios using the IPMI or using SUM. So the CH341A seems to be my only option currently.
Bios file (BIOS_X11SSZ-0888_20240222_4.1_STD.bin) seems a complete image with all associated regions expanded FD, GBE, ME and bios region, so its usable as it is.
A dump of the current corrupted state of the IC is advisable, securing any system board original data, before any programing.
Alright i got it working. The issue i was having was with the software version i was using. The .bin file was too large for it to use. And it was detecting my IC as a smaller size as well. After updating the software everything was detected and the .bin file was usable. Thanks for the help.
