[Solved] Need help with internal laptop keyboard on Windows 7

Hello, so i’ve currently managed to get windows 7 to boot on a Lenovo V14 G4 AMN, being a laptop released in 2023 with an AMD Athlon 7120U with integrated graphics, 8gb of ram and a 120gb nvme ssd.

However, i have been struggling trying to get the laptop’s internal keyboard to work on windows 7.

The internal keyboard is referred to on windows 10 as a “Standard PS/2 Keyboard” as well as on Windows 7 (device shows fine and appears to be running fine), but inputs don’t work (kinda). Something odd i found is a few seconds after boot, or when i plug any usb device in, the keyboard may start working for a fraction of a second and take inputs just fine for that very small timing. Also, spamming caps lock in on-screen keyboard sometimes toggles the led and spamming keys whilst doing it sometimes results in them registering (???)

I’ve made a guess that it has to do with the keyboard just not being powered for some reason, and that these actions for some reason sometimes briefly bring power to it making the keyboard wrong. Please correct me on this if this may be wrong.

I have looked into modding DSDT ACPI tables, and whilst i have managed to patch them & apply my patches to the windows 7 install, i haven’t been successful in making the keyboard work with them (the table makes no sense im literally just trying random shit and hoping it works lmao). I tried bypassing OSI to make it think it was windows 10, and it didin’t help with the keyboard, just made a GPIO Controller device appear and tried to install a driver that failed to launch, i also tried messing with things like ActiveLow whatever that is near keyboard device and also tried to disable PS3 instructions which presuambly disable devices, however it is clear that i don’t understand the tables at all and i’m just guessing in the dark.

If anyone has any suggestions as to how i could fix it or if someone has some DSDT Table knowledge and is willing to read it, as well as if any of you have any questions, please reply! Looking forward to your replies!

Also, heres the table:

Thank you!

Found out how to fix it, explained how in this guide i made under step 4: [Guide] Installing Windows 7 on a Lenovo V14 G4 AMN

What’s the device above your keyboard, I2C/GPIO/LPC? Can check it in Device Manager (2nd menu item, Yi Lian Jie Pai Xu She Bei, in Chinese).
