[SOLVED] Toshiba S50-B-12C : Bios maybe corrupted

Hello,

I have a big issue laptop…
For the background, i just change the HDD by a SSD. All was good, Windows 10 with latest update working well.

I shutdown the laptop and today, when i try to power on, black screen…
I check RAM, try to connect an external screen, remove SSD and put back the original HDD, make a little reflow on RADEON GPU chipset : black screen.

The keyboard backlight is on, if i push a touch, the light come like if all is ok but nothing, no logo, no screen, no boot.

I make a dump of the bios file but i don’t know how to check if something wrong happen.

Another difficult : Toshiba never publish a bios file for this model ! It’s the first time i see that…

I have a Toshiba Satellite S50-B-12C

Can someone check the bios file please ?

All help will be very appreciated.

File was deleted?

Yes … I don’t know why.

Thank you

OK, Bios page:

There are several bios listed, but they have different name codes- you’ll find downloads that have a name like skt4v???.exe (correct) and lower versions that have sktuv???.exe (wrong)

Your bios:
https://content.us.dynabook.com/content/support/downloads/skt4v140.exe

Doesn’t look too bad, but you have one changed bit in a possibly vulnerable area:

(Machine specific data and a Windows code in 0x220400 to 0x221040)

Try (just changed that bit):
dump_c.zip (3.8 MB)

Ok thank you. I’ll flash your file and see if something change.
