[SOLVED] Update CPU microcode for Lenovo E530 BIOS

Hello!

Does anyone know how to update CPU microcode for Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E530 BIOS? Just replacing PAT files doesn’t help.

$0AH0000.FL2 is the BIOS. When you open it with UEFITool NE, you can see the microcode, but UEFITool NE doesn’t support replacing. Old UEFITool cannot open the section with microcode.

OK, with help of a specialist from another forum, modified the $0AH0000.FL2 file by myself. Just replaced old microcode with new in hex editor (here’s similar tutorial). Then did a rebuild of a section with UEFI Tool so it calculated the new checksum.
