[Solved] Where to find Latest BIOS for Fujitsu Esprimo D756?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a more up-to-date BIOS for my Fujitsu Esprimo D756 with D3431-A1x D3431-A1 mainboard. Any idea where to find it or is it possible to mod it somehow?

Running V5.0.0.11 R1.17.0 from 09/16/2016

There seems to be a version V5.0.0.11 R1.29.0 for D3431-A1x 01/27/2020 available but I can’t find it at Fujitsu.

Thanks a lot!

Edit by Fernando: Thread title customized and shortened

It can be over MS Catalog by HW UUID
or maybe by FSC DeskUpdate/View/Client Management

This report with R1.29 had the FSC apps installed:
Agent not create new computer · Issue #235 · glpi-project/glpi-agent (github.com)

a bit of research found these versions:

5.0.0.11 R1.8.0 (11/17/2015)

5.0.0.11 R1.17.0 09/16/2016

5.0.0.11 R1.25.0 D3431-A1x 01/12/2018

5.0.0.11 R1.27.0

5.0.0.11 R1.29.0 D3431-A1x 01/27/2020

@Christian
EDIT: Your welcome, still i would now request if you want to share the update package that is now stored in your system (not a dump), it may can be useful for forum users who want to flash/clean the bios image of a similar system.
It should be in sys folder: C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository.…

Ha! Update catalog did the job. Thanks so much @MeatWar! You are the best.

Although your request has not much to do with the topic “BIOS Modding”, I have left it here, but shortened its title.

@Christian

Hello,

can someone guide me where I actually can find the above BIOS files in .bup format for
being used with the Fujitsu DeskFlash tool?

5.0.0.11 R1.29.0 D3431-A1x 01/27/2020

Or how I can create it from the raw files on github?

Thanks,David

Hi @Christian,

Longshot here but a Microsoft update has killed Fujitsu motherboards around the world. For some reason the D756 - D3431-A1x BIOS is not on the Fujitsu website, or anywhere else.

If you still have this desktop, please can you share your BIOS Hardware ID from Device Manager, for others to create the update file? Or if you can share the update package itself that would be a huge help.

Thank you on behalf of D756 owners worldwide!

Welcome to the Win-Raid Forum!

The BIOS is not a device and doesn’t have any HardwareID.

Is this the system board?

or is it D3401 ?

Hi Fernando, I realise that but the detail needed is found under the firmware HardwareID details in windows. So it can then be looked up in Windows Update Catalogue. Completely understand your point though. Maybe I’ve used the wrong terminology

e.g. this is mine for D3430 board.

D3431-Ax is the board, not sure how many revisions there are. I have D3430 personally and you can find both that firmware and the D3432 on the Fujitsu website but no BIOS/Firmware is on the Fujitsu site for the D3431 board. I’ve only seen this thread really talking about that version. I’m asking on behalf of others desperately searching.

Not sure what makes this board different. It’s also not on the Fujitsu FTP drivers site and it’s the only version that looks to be missing.

@MeatWar @Christian

OK it looks like someone else solved this, but rather than deleting my posts I’ll just include the reddit post:

The HWID of the UEFI system firmware is: def41966-5b56-4205-af27-333433314131

With the above ID you can aquire the files yourself from the MS Update Catalog website, or if you want, you can download the files directly from Google Drive with the following link.

The .rom file can be used for recovery directly with the recovery USB method.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1H7pgBhiGKPOyBRfrvTkmerqTGLIr9rqF

D3430 H110
D3431 Q150
D3432 Q170

So the HW ID is 3430 and GD file link is 3431 correct?

def41966-5b56-4205-af27-333433314131 and the link above are both for D3431. This was the missing firmware from the Fujitsu site. I was just giving mine for D3430 as an example for what I was looking for.
