wow, finaly a active forum… I have a laptop from 2012(Clevo, sager, avell) NP9130, P150em, P151em, P170m, with all this names… So i Flashed the BIOS with Eurocom mod and Prema mod … work’s… Now i have a new VGA card… GTX970m (gtx670m original old) And when i back to the original BIOS, with afudos xxx.rom and press A( for all)… brick my laptop So i open and flash externally, but i flash wrong chip (EC chip) and now i cant flash because i dont have this file (separate) Anyone can split this file for me, to use in my ch341 software? or share a program to split this files? Ty so much, sorry for my english, i’m Brazilian. i attach 2 files to try split and extract EC firmware, and BIOS.
Hi friend, to extract Bios Region or ME Region you have to use the CodeRush UEFITool (NE A58 to extract is better) , so load the Firmware into UEFI Tool and select Image, then choice ME Region and right click on it to extract “as is” it and save, make this procedure for all regions you want to extract and you’ll find them into the Firmware folder … Let me know Regards
EC firmware is often first padding in bios region:
For your zip: RC20179.EC3 is just bios region, seems corrupted. RC20171.EC3 is complete UEFI image (FD, ME, bios region). Both contain a 64k padding = EC firmware for IT8518 in the beginning, but different date/ version: 1.00.02.11EC, 1.00.02.11PM
well thanks for the answers. I tried to do what was proposed, but without success, the notebook still does not turn on. I separated into 2 files, one of 1.99mb and the other of 4.0mb, I recorded it and even so it doesn’t turn on anymore. I tried it with 2 different BIOS… and it still won’t turn on anymore. before i update with these 2 bios in the normal update process via USB, and succes. my external recorder succeeds in recording, but still won’t turn on. here are the 2 files I tried. thank so much
Good news, turn on again…i cut bios manually on hex editor, and now i return on my first problem… Still does not recognize my new vga card gtx970m… if anyone can help me, if need payment for do it, i will pay. Ty so much.
FERMI to MAXWELL with a bios mod and the rest of the design of the motherboard/chipset/hw signals u can ignore… u told u that this ideia would work or to buy a different GPU from original architecture. Get real.
Yah… this motherboard support a lot of Vga cards like gtx 1060 too… but i dont know what i’m doing wrong on process… i see the donation box, i will do it tomorrow… i will put pictures too( gtx970, motherboard, and other VGA AMD M6800m(i try with this and same problem), gtx 670 installed again. i will try. ty so much and best regards
Damm sir…thats a freaky damm machine…supports a LOT of gpus and even a GTX1060 and AMD… yes sir, indeed a great system (Model), dont u ever sell that motherboard, u got urself a gold mine. Yes, i just need a BIOSMOD for works. This BIOS need to be exactly made for this VGA, because if bios does not recognize vga, her start mod for turn off, light and sound bips (12 to 24) times. everything else is already compatible, case, mxm slot, power supply, dissipator, bracket, etc. i still trying to edit bios by myself for use this new vga card.
