I am attempting to run an AMD Zen 4 CPU engineering sample (ES) on a BIOS version that currently does not support it.
Specifically, I want to run an EPYC 9004 ES (CPUID: A10F00) on a Supermicro H13SSL motherboard. The BIOS only supports up to v1.0, but I need it to support the current version (v3.6) with the updated AGESA.
My idea is to rewrite an unused MCU (e.g., CPUID:AA0F02) to the MCU for ES (e.g., CPUID:A10F00)already present in v1.0 (I successfully rewrote it using a hex editor).
However, I am a beginner and lack knowledge about AGESA and related topics. I would appreciate it if you could tell me whether this modification will work.
Additionally, if anyone has experience or related information regarding this matter, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.
