I’ve never posted here but I had a problem that seems to occur frequently here - the loss of overclocking in bios due to ME corruption.
Thanks to your instructions and help on other posts, I managed to sort it out in no time.
Pinmod in only 3 attempts and I was back up and running. Thankyou.
Had a z77 ASROCK Pro3 board and if anyone else finds this post and has the same issues, all I did was. -
1. Update Bios to the latest version
2. Update ME firmware to 8.xx.xx.xx for z77 boards
3. Pinmod - Used thin wire from hardware store held in position with pliers
4. If Pinmod was successful a bios like screen appears saying ME is being restored.
@jinx :
Thank you very much for this feedback, which is absolutely justified and will encourage the addressed Forum members to continue their intensive support.
A personal thankyou to specific Forum members, who helped successfully to solve a problem, is always welcome and unfortunately not posted very often by the Forum users.
My advice: You should mention the solved problem within the thread title, because otherwise users with a similar problem may not find the solution.
How to do a “pinmod”? I’m with some memories problem and I want to try this.
