I have an Lenovo ThinkCentre M73 SFF. I wanted to unlock the “Advanced Menu” so I could force memory speeds for two sticks of RAM that still work, but their supported speed ROM isn’t readable anymore, for some reason. I was able to test they do work, however. I also wanted to fix the PCIe slot for the GPU only ever getting to Gen 2 speeds, even though everything supports Gen 3. I modded the bios with AMIBCP v4.05, saved it. I tried flashing with the Intel ME tools first, to no avail. BIOS is locked. I then tried using the AMI flasher, and it said that the BIOS did not pass the security check. Are there any known exploits for this CPU generation to force a flash without a external programmer?
Search for the ME_DIS jumper on the motherboard (Should be near SATA ports, if not mistaken) , it allows the access to read/write operations on some SPI regions of the bios by the Intel FPT tool.
